How to Register and Download Android 12 beta

Android 11 isn’t around for long, as many of our phones only recently received updates. The next version of Android will be released even though this is the case. The new version of Google’s Android operating system, Android 12, is expected to be available in the fall. Development is well underway. You can participate in the public beta to see what Google has designed for your smartphone. The public beta program for Android 12 is now available (for some phones). We’ll show you how to get it installed in this article.

Before we get started, however, it is important to remember that beta programs may not be for everyone. Although the new software will be available for a while, it is not complete. There are still many hazards in the public beta. It is not recommended to download a beta version on a phone that you do not use every day. This applies doubly to the current beta. You should wait for Android 12 to be released fully.

What new features are you able to expect from Android 12?

Before you download Android 12, it is worth evaluating whether it is worthwhile. What are you getting with Android 12 that you don’t get with Android 11?

The most significant change is a drastic change in style. Android 12 will see the launch of Material You, Google’s new design language. The buttons are bolder and larger and have rounded edges. Google doesn’t care about space anymore with the rise of large devices. This is evident in Android 12’s new design. This makes it easier to find buttons and sliders and, crucially for many, easier for fast-moving fingers and fingers to tap.

Notification shade got a major overhaul with larger buttons. They are now easier to toggle and much bigger. Privacy controls have been updated with the Privacy Dashboard. This allows you to see which apps you had granted permissions to and shows you a timeline of when other apps accessed your location data.

These are not the only new features.

How to install Android 12 beta

You have your phone and are ready to dive into the cold waters that are a software beta. How do you begin? You should first back up your Android phone’s information. Installing the developer beta requires you to wipe your phone. You can find a guide on backing your Android phone. It is important to do your research before beginning because no one wants to lose any data.

After doing this, you can now download and install the Android 12 beta.

Step 1: Go to the Android12 public beta website.

Step 2 Scroll down until the Your Eligible devices section.

Step 3 – Click the Opt-in button below your eligible phone.

Step 4 – Check the boxes and Confirm to Enroll. You should receive confirmation that your device has been added to the beta.

Step 5 Open the System updates section in your Settings app. This section is located in Settings Advanced System on Google phones. However, your device might differ slightly.

Step 6 An update should be available. To begin the process of updating, tap Download.

After the update is complete, you will be able to access all the new features and Android 12 beta. Have fun, and keep an eye out for bugs!
